Police Scotland have now released images taken from the CCTV system at the Dumfries Museum of the three men they want to speak to in connection with the break-in and theft of curling memorabilia and other historical items on Wednesday 30 April 2014. The three men are seen in the museum at around 22.05 hours that night, and, explains Detective Inspector Bryan Lee “although the images are not clear, one image does show three men in the museum, whilst the other shows one of the men wearing a hooded top which has quite a distinctive image on the front.”
“Investigations are still ongoing into this crime and a reward has now been put up by Rhona Martin MBE, who’s 2002 Winter Olympics gold medal for curling was one of the items stolen in the raid. The reward has been put up for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft.”
