Over 220 Primary School pupils from Nithsdale took part in the second annual 4x100m sprint relay competition at the David Keswick Athletic Centre running track on Monday 8 June 2015, bringing the school competition calendar to an explosive and exciting end.
The event, run by the Council’s Active Schools and Community Sport Officers with assistance from Nithsdale PE Specialists, saw 22 local Primary Schools battling for medals.
The competition was split into 3 categories;
• Small schools
• P6/7 girls
• P6/7 boys
The winning schools, who all received medals were;
Small Schools 1st – Penpont A 2nd – Dunscore A 3rd – Dunscore B
P6/7 Girls 1st – Georgetown A 2nd – Sanquhar 3rd – Heathhall
P6/7 Boys 1st – Sanquhar 2nd – Heathhall 3rd – Noblehill
