A smaller show of 841 prime lambs sold to average 183.71 (SQQ 186.13). Due to Monday’s depressed trade numbers were tight and sold sharper but all classes were readily bid for except sheep lacking meat. Top today was £108 for a pen of 8 outstanding Beltex lambs from Gelston Castle Farms, Castle Douglas which also topped the ppk at 274.1.
347 cast sheep sold to a similar trade topping at £110 for Suffolk rams from Mossend with Texel ewes to £100 from Carnavel.
