Police Scotland officers are investigating an act of vandalism whereby the the casing for a defibrillator which is located at the front of the village hall in Kirkton, Dumfries was damaged. The defibrillator itself was not damaged but the casing and lock on it was. The damage appears to have been caused sometime on Wednesday 4/Thursday 5 October 2017.
Constable Kennedy Anderson said “it defies belief that someone would actually cause damage to this type of facility, which is after all placed in the community to help save lives. We are appealing to the community to come forward and let us know if they have any information which might help us catch those responsible for this crime.”
