CAT RESCUED FROM STREETS OF TURKEY NOW MISSING IN KIRKCUDBRIGHT

A Family from Kirkcudbright have contacted DGWGO this week to help renew an appeal for sightings of there beloved missing cat ‘Freya’ who they rescued as an abused stray from the streets of Avsallar in Turkey 3 years ago.

The Muirs told DGWGO “We took Freya to the vet on the 18th of July this year in Kirkcudbright. The vets’ outside door was not closed and Freya escaped her carrier and ran out into Gas Lane next to the surgery and we’ve never seen her since.”
They continued “Despite a massive search effort. It’s very likely she is just fine and living wild somewhere in Kirkcudbright. She was originally a feral cat and we’ve had her three years, during which time she’s become a much-loved pet. But her past means she knows how to take care of herself, and because she was formerly abused, she will be frightened of people generally, but with the colder, wetter weather, we’re hoping she may make herself more known.
We’re desperate for any sightings. She’s quite a small cat and a brownish tabby. She has a ‘tipped’ left ear, denoting that she is a neutered feral. It isn’t very obvious, but makes that ear look slightly shorter.”

If she’s seen, please contact Galloway Vet Group in Kirkcudbright 01557 840225 or [email protected]
