Del La Soul Headline Eden Festival
Del La Soul the New York trio, have just celebrated their 25th anniversary of their debut album and will be flying the flag for their quarter of a century career in music by headlining Eden 2014. The Me, Myself and I hit makers are also planning to release new material, fingers crossed Edenites will be getting the exclusive.
Up next on the bill is UK talent Artful Dodger an R&B and garage band hailing from Southampton. Most remembered for their 2-step hits and No. 2 hit Re-Rewind, Artful Dogder we will be taking us back to the nineties and fast forwarding till the present day.
Avin’ it large this summer too will be Bez’s Acid House, formally the front man from Happy Monday’s he will be whipping up a storm. Expect dancers, visuals and mayhem playing acid house, techno and dance.
There will be a 150 acts performing, theatre and action across the site, not to be missed! Plus back by popular demand 80’s exercise guru and cult figure Mr Motivator will be on hand to rev up partied out festival goers and inspire the crowd with his infectious enthusiasm. Figure hugging outfits and sweatbands will no doubt be the order of the day.

The Stages!
The open-air Devorgilla Stage is to be host to some of the greatest underground bands of the last 20 years from Swing, Celtic, Roots, Tango, Reggae, Klezmer, Samba, Funk, Afrobeat, Folk, Balkan, Gypsy and Ska. The stage itself will be as impressive as the line-up it provides.
The Ghillie Dhu Dance Tent will be home to everything from Drum ‘n’ Bass to Jungle back to funk, soul, swing, then on to Dubstep and Breakbeat and anything in between – there will be something to suit any fan of dance music. This stage will exhibit live percussion instrumental dance music from many cultures and influences until nightfall descends.
Immerse yourself in the enticing, warm and exotic atmosphere of the Furry Chillum stage, exhibiting acoustic, brass, swing, soul, funk and a heavy smattering of the bazzar. The tent’s unique sound system will be provided by Jumblesale Sounds and hosted on the back of a stunning vintage truck.
Rabbie’s Tavern will provide an auld Scottish bar to drink the local hooch with live bands playing celtic, roots, rockabilly and anything else that makes you stomp your foot. Rabbies Tavern will also have a traditional Scottish ceilidh each night.
The hidden ‘Nude is Good’ stage with accompanying sauna….. shhhhhh….it’s a secret..
The exotically absorbing Vishnu Lounge provides an area to chill, chai and chat in one of the most remarkable festival chill out lounges to date. With live music from noon till late.
Children are very welcome and there will be activities and events to keep them happy at the Shelly Coat Kids Tent, which will be run by a team of dedicated and experienced staff who will ensure they are kept enthused and entertained!
New to Eden 2014 the Drive in Cinema, the Melodrome Theatre, a cabaret stage and the Lost Disco, with more info to follow.
