Would You Like to Make a Difference to Your Local NHS?

To ensure the views of the people of Dumfries and Galloway are represented in local health decisions NHS Dumfries and Galloway is recruiting up to two new Non-Executive board members.

Applications for these key strategic positions are being sought from people across Dumfries and Galloway and who have a wide and varied range of backgrounds and experience.

Mr Phil Jones, Chairman of NHS Dumfries and Galloway, said:

“As a non-executive member of the Board, you will be expected to play a key role in guiding the strategies which address the health and care needs of the people of Dumfries and Galloway.

“You do not need to be a health expert or have prior experience of the NHS but you will need to demonstrate a commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of the people of Dumfries and Galloway.

“These are challenging and rewarding roles and you will be offered training and support to learn any new skills required.”

NHS Dumfries and Galloway are asking people with an interest in health, but who may not have thought of being a Non-Executive board member, to consider applying.

The Non-Executive posts involve a commitment of eight hours a week for a remuneration of £8,251 per annum. The hours can be flexible so that Non Executive Director roles can be combined with other commitments.
