Dumfries and Galloways “Youth Beatz” Music Festival is back for 2018 and needs your help! As one of the Scotland’s Year of Young People 2018 Signature Events, thousands of young people from all over Scotland will attend the 2 day festival on Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July at its new venue of Park Farm Showfield in Dumfries. The 2 day festival will be the culmination of a programme of events that include a 7 day Fringe Festival as well as the expansion of the highly innovative, hard hitting and interactive drama – The Toon.
The Youth Beatz Festivals provide great events for both Dumfries and Galloway and Scotland, but we need your help to make it happen. We have lots of exciting volunteering opportunities to suit everyone that can be tailored to fit your skills and talents. From drama performance and production, set design, photography, media and promotion, event infrastructure, or community engagement, we have an opportunity to suit everyone’s skills and talents.
Event Volunteers have always been an important part of making Youth Beatz a reality, with over 150 people volunteering at least year’s events, and we are committed to working with and supporting our volunteers now and in the future.
Councillor Tracey Little Provost of Dumfries said “The continued success of Youth Beatz, Youth Beatz Fringe and the Toon is largely due to the dedication and support of hard working volunteers and without their expertise and time we could not deliver an event of this scale. I would encourage any adult or young person interested in volunteering to take up the opportunity”
If you are 16+ years of age and want to get involved in this multi award winning festival, please contact Jill Hima on [email protected] or call 01387 260243. We will be happy to provide references to young people or adults volunteering with us if required.
