Officers are investigating the theft of about 1000 litres of heating oil from a tank at a house at Shotts, near Closeburn. Sometime between Wednesday 21 and Friday 23 March 2018 approximately 1000 litres of heating oil was stolen from a tank at the house. The value of the oil is around £400.
Constable Jim Kirkpatrick said “clearly a vehicle has been used in this theft. We want to hear from anyone in the Closeburn and Shotts area if they have seen any suspicious activity in the area over the past week or so.
