Following 2 years of struggling, without success, to recruit a replacement GP Partner, it is with regret that Dr Rory Gillies and Dr Shona Gillies have served notice of their resignation as independent contractors and that they would like the Health and Social Care Partnership to take forward arrangements for the future provision of medical services for patients registered at Church Place surgery in Moffat.
The Health and Social Care Partnership have already started work on developing options on how best to develop a sustainable GP service for the Church Place surgery patients.
Gary Sheehan, Locality Manager for Health and Social Care, said:
“The Health and Social Care Partnership is committed to working with Drs Gillies and their staff to ensure that all their patients at Church Place continue to have access to safe, effective and high quality primary care.
“We will ensure that patients are updated on the changes as they are developed and we are committed to a smooth and seamless transition which builds on the long and invaluable service provided by the GPs and their staff at Church Place.”
