New Abbey Curling Club held their annual end of season meal and presentation of prizes on Friday 23rd March 2018 at Southerness Golf Club. The evening’s proceedings were led by Club President William Purdie with his wife Jan presenting the prizes.
The club this year were honoured to have a double Scottish Champion as one of their members. Fraser Kingan, along with Jayne Stirling won the Scottish Mixed Doubles title in October, and will represent Scotland at the World Mixed Doubles in Sweden later in April.
Fraser played 2nd in Ross Whyte’s rink who won the Scottish Junior Men’s title in January, and followed this up by winning the silver medal at the World Junior Men’s held in Aberdeen in March. New members have been made welcome over the season and the club is always ready to welcome further new members. Full details can be requested via [email protected]
