Only 3 days after opening its doors to pupils a child was hurt today when involved in an incident with a sliding door that came off its rails at the brand new multi million pound North West Community Campus in Lochside Dumfries.
The child has since been checked out and is now reported to be home safe with family.
The Doors have now been removed but as a further precaution the brand new school is to remain closed tomorrow Friday the 24th of August 2018.
In a text issued to parents it stated ” This time will be used by us to give staff and therefore the parents, the fullest of confidence that there are no more outstanding concerns. School will re-open on Monday.”
