Vandals Destroy Newton Stewart ‘trees For Peace’ Days After Planting

An appeal has been launched for information after two trees that were planted in Albert Street Gardens, Newton stewart on Saturday the 10th of November in commemoration of the end of WWI and in recognition of peace have been destroyed by vandals.

The Trees were planted just 4 days earlier on Saturday in appalling weather conditions by the Rotary Club of Newton Stewart in partnership with the Cree Valley Community Council t along with a memorial to commemorate 100 years of the RAF.
