Moore’s Chip shop in Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway in partnership with Grierson’s Bros Butchers have created the Christmas Dinner Jumbo Sausage, and as far as they are aware, they are the only chip shop serving such a festive delight.
Craig Johnson, assistant manager at Moores told DGWGO “Our Christmas Dinner Jumbo is a turkey sausage with sage and onion stuffing, gravy, and a hint of Cranberry through it wrapped in streaky bacon and battered.”
Owner of Moores Fish and Chips- Andrew Moore said “As a small business we find it is important to work with as many local businesses as possible to source our products, we have worked with Griersons Butchers for a number of years. We source our Pork Jumbo sausages from them. Also when Griersons started creating a ‘Sausage of the Month’ we got with them together and have created some weird and wonderful combinations. Over the month of November Griersons made a few trial batches of the festive sausage to get the flavours right and now we are ready to go.”
Andrew continued “We will also have the Griersons December Sausage of the Month available at our chippy which is Pork and Christmas Pudding flavour.”
The Christmas Dinner Sausage will be available throughout December at £2.40 (Single) and £4.25 (Supper)
