Three exciting opportunities have just been announced with emerging artists platform, blueprint100, based within The Stove Network. This diverse and evolving group are looking for three new Curatorial Team Members to join their team for one year between March 2019 and April 2020.
Blueprint100 is a project within The Stove especially for emerging artists under thirty that provides creative experiences and opportunities for young people. The project is run by a group of four young creatives called the blueprint100 Curatorial Team, who form the core management team to design a diverse programme of workshops, events, and public arts projects in partnership with established artists. Through this, they aim to build a vibrant community which is both inclusive and inspiring and hope to empower emerging professionals across the arts.
2019 has been a time of transition for the current Curatorial Team who have helped shape and build blueprint100 into what it is now. They have grown blueprint100 to include a fantastic program of regular activity, commissions and opportunities for both blueprint100 and Stove members over the last few years with their own professional practices evolving along the way. Part of this transition has been to establish the blueprint100 Curatorial Team as a year-long opportunity to gain vital experience and grow individual practice within the supportive environment of a highly established arts organisation.
Blueprint100 Curatorial Team currently consists of Michael Moore, Emily Cooper, Liam Templeton and most recently joined Jordan Chisholm. Curatorial team members moving on to develop their individual practices are Michael, Emily and Liam who have been instrumental in bringing blueprint100 to where it is today.
Michael Moore has worked as a Curatorial Team member of blueprint100 for several years now and is one of the founding members. He commented: “Working at blueprint100 for the last few years has been amazing. I’ve met brilliant artists and people from a variety of backgrounds and learned skills from creative practitioners, technicians, administrators and other organisations working within the wider community to try to create a positive change locally.”
Emily Cooper also a founding member who has worked with blueprint100 for the last few years commented: “I’ve been involved with Blueprint100 in one capacity or another for several years and it’s been the most valuable experience in my creative career. The practical and creative thinking skills I have developed I’m sure will prove invaluable as I continue on my artistic journey.”
Liam Templeton joined blueprint100 in 2018 after completing a Masters Degree at the University of Glasgow Crichton Campus. He commented: “Working as part of blueprint100 has provided me with ample resources and support allowing me to transform my artistic vision into a reality. During my time here I have continually been afforded the opportunity to grow as a person as well as to develop as a professional individual. This experience has empowered me with the necessary practical skills and confidence to achieve my short-term career goals and helped me towards growing a sustainable creative practice.”
Blueprint100 are now seeking three new team members who will be responsible for designing and delivering the bleuprint100 programme of activity. This is an opportunity for young creatives to bring their own set of skills and experiences as well as grow in areas they would like to develop.
