Many more could have been sold with lambs up to 42kg easiest to sell and in most demand. Top today was a pen of texels at £114 from Messrs Williamson & Ross, Breconiehill, Castle Douglas. Top per kilo was 280ppk for outstanding texels from Messrs Wilson, West Barmoffity, Kirkpatrick Durham.
282 prime hoggs sold to a top pf £103 for texel hoggs from Drumlane, laurieston, with top per kilo being 200ppk from Clonhie, Penpont.
238 cast sheep were again a good trade with lightweight ewes being a flyer with Blackface selling to £71.50 from The Muil, but overfat mule ewes being no dearer. Topping the ewes at £117.50 was Beltex ewes from Drumcork, Thornhill
