The incredible rise of soprano Rebecca Bottone comes as no surprise to anyone who has heard her sing. Bottone has become a leading figure in the top Opera Houses round the world, after making her debut at the Royal Opera House in 2008. Recent engagements have included a tour with Welsh National Opera to Hong Kong, Pirates of Penzance with Scottish Opera and Mozart’s Idomeneo at Buxton Opera.
Absolute Classics Festival
Speaking with Bottone she told us: “I absolutely love Scotland and I am so looking forward to coming to perform in Dumfries at the Absolute Classics Festival. It is always a pleasure to work with pianist, Phillip Thomas, we have a lovely programme for the concert and I hope everyone will enjoy it.”
Making their debut this year at the Theatre Royal in Dumfries, Rebecca Bottone and Phillip Thomas will perform on Saturday the 3th of August 7:30pm. The programme includes works by Lehar, Strauss and Novello. A beautiful selection of songs that will be familiar to everyone.
