POLICE patrols in Kirkcudbright on the evening of Saturday 24th of August resulted in alcohol being confiscated from youths as young as 13. The Young folk were mainly gathered in the High Park area of the town.
Last night, Saturday August the 24th 2019,was one of the busiest nights of the summer in Kirkcudbright, whilst a crowd of around 5000 people gathered to enjoy the towns annual Tattoo.
A Police Spokesperson stated “We want to remind parents and guardians to discuss the dangers of alcohol with their children. Parents of children involved have been contacted and all youths are safe at home.
We’ve also been carrying out patrols in the Maidenbower area of Dumfries.”
