Annan Riding of the Marches committee have announced the decision, following government directives and guidelines to suspend all ROM activities for 2020, until otherwise directed.
A Spokesperson for Annan ROM Stated “Many members of our committee, have already tirelessly put work in behind the scenes ahead of this years celebrations, of which we would like to thank them all. We are very hopeful that later in the year, when the current situation is a distant memory, we will be able to kick start the plans for 2021, to allow our townspeople and visitors to enjoy the town’s traditions once again.
We are delighted that our Cornet Oran, Lass Katie and Standard Bearer Katy have all agreed to carry out their duties in 2021.
Whilst the traditions of our town are very dear to our hearts, we, as an organisation, must act responsibly and consider the health and well being of our townsfolk.
