Queens Captain Stephen Dobbie & Sons Make A ‘Bald’ Move For Nhs Covid-19 Charity

QUEEN OF THE SOUTH club Captain Stephen Dobbie and his sons Jack (10) and Maxwell (7) are going to shave their heads to raise money for the NHS COVID-19 Appeal. The head shave is planned for the 7th of April and will be live on twitter.

Stephen told DGWGO Sports News “We love our football and miss being able to play but this horrible virus puts things into perspective and football has to take a back seat.  When you hear stories from around the world we are so lucky to have our NHS so we want to do what we can to show our support for those in the frontline”.

The boys added “we are so grateful for what the doctors and nurses are doing to help save lives so we just want to say thank you really”.

Stephen continued “We are living in frightening times at the moment and my family and I are following the government guidelines to stay home and save lives.
However, my family and I felt like we wanted to do something more to help our amazing army of NHS staff who are on the frontline battling COVID-19 head on.
So I decided along with my two sons, Jack 10 and Maxwell 7, that we would shave our heads to raise money for the NHS Charities COVID-19 Urgent Appeal. The kids are very excited to do this and my wife Susanne will be sure to capture the event and post the video on her Twitter account @susanne_dobbie
I know everyone is facing financial uncertainty but even if you could spare £1 we would be so grateful if you could sponsor us in our #shaveitoff event to raise money for such an important cause.
To our NHS – THANK YOU.
Stay home. Protect our NHS. Save lives.
Take care everyone,
The Dobbie Family x”

They launched the appeal on Saturday morning hoping to raise £1000 – they have reached that target and more already, but want to keep pushing to raise as much as they can for this great cause.
