German family-owned discount supermarket Aldi are continuing to add to their national store portfolio and are currently looking for a site for a store in Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway.
Buisness was booming during 2019 for the company and they the opened many new stores. Their ambitious property investment and property development programme plans to continue growing, so they are always looking for great new sites and existing commercial properties.
With Over 10,000 stores in 20 countries, and an estimated combined turnover of more than €50 billion. The chain was founded by brothers Karl and Theo Albrecht in 1946 when they took over their mother’s store in Essen

“We prefer to purchase freehold, town centre or edge of centre sites suitable for property development in towns with a population of 15,000 or more. We are willing to explore all opportunities including developer led schemes and existing or new retail units. Our yield profile is increasingly adding value to developments.”
