Essential maintenance on the A75 Ramhill to Allanton Roundabout will take place from Friday 5th February to Friday 12th February 2021, under a full weekend road closure, followed by overnight road closures between 8pm and 6am each night.
This scheme, with a value of £506,000, will normally benefit around 6,000 vehicles using this route each day by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in future.
This work requires a full weekend closure from 8pm on 5th February until 6am on 8th February 2021. From 8th February to 12th February 2021 there will be overnight closures from 8pm to 6am, each night.
There will be a signed diversion in place during each closure.
Westbound traffic will exit the A75 to the B794 and continue through Haugh of Urr before joining the A711 Craignair Road. Traffic will then follow the A745 and continue to the roundabout at Oakwell Road. Vehicles will then travel on the A713 Queen Street to the B736 to Hightae Roundabout to re-join the A75.
Eastbound traffic will leave the A75 at Hightae Roundabout onto the B736 turning right onto St Andrews St then left onto King Street. Traffic will take the second exit at the roundabout onto the A745 to Dalbeattie where it becomes the A711. The diversion continues on the A711 until Cargenbridge where traffic will turn left until reaching Garroch Roundabout to re-join the A75.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable
