An increased number of COVID-19 cases in Upper Nithsdale has resulted in additional testing capacity being introduced in the area.
Anyone living in Sanquhar, Kelloholm or the immediate surrounding area who is experiencing symptoms of COVID, or other mild illness such as diarrhoea, runny nose or sore throat. is encouraged to come forward to be tested.
A mobile testing unit (MTU) will be stationed at Mill Hill Centre in Corserig Crescent, Kelloholm, DG4 6EL, tomorrow Friday April 23, Monday April 26, Tuesday April 27 and Wednesday April 28.
Tests at the Mobile Testing Unit are by prior appointment by visiting https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test or for those without access to the Internet by phoning 0800 028 2816. Bookings can be made from 6.30 pm this evening.
