Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking essential maintenance on the A75 between Kirkdale House and Carsluith Junction from Thursday 9th September and Friday 10th September 2021.
This is a continuation of the scheme that began in August and will resume using overnight convoy working only. Work will take place between 7pm and 6am, each night.
These works will improve the overall road quality of this section of the A75, in addition to extending the life of the existing road pavement, reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in future.
Due to the proposed depths of resurfacing and material quantities involved in the scheme, there may be a requirement to maintain temporary traffic lights in localised areas between 6am and 7pm each day to facilitate material cooling.
We thank road users for their patience while these essential improvements are underway.
Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
