The Mull of Galloway welcomes the Solway Vehicle Enthusiasts charity road run on Sunday 28th September promising a great day out for motoring fans. 
Around 20 iconic vehicles are due to arrive at the lighthouse at around 2pm on Sunday afternoon where they will be displayed for a couple of hours. This provides photographic opportunities for visitors to the Mull of Galloway and a perfect opportunity for a “birds eye view” of the vehicles from the top of the lighthouse.
The road run has been organised by the club as a charity fund raiser for young wheelchair athlete Shelby Watson from Moffat. Shelby has just competed in the Sainsbury’s school games where she won the 100 and 800 metres taking gold in both events. The Solway vehicle enthusiasts club support this young athlete and previous fundraising has allowed her to carry on with her training and for her and her family to attend events.
Maureen Chand, Chairperson and Alison Smith, Marketing Officer from the Mull of Galloway Trust have been asked to judge the vehicles taking part in the road run and award the trophies at the end of the day
