The organisers of this year’s Christmas market at George Square have announced that the event will now not take place.
“A spokesperson for Market Place Europe operators of Glasgow Christmas Market said: “The Glasgow Loves Christmas team explored every option with ourselves to make George Square market possible this Christmas.
Unfortunately we haven’t been able to create a mutually agreeable plan for this venue. We are pleased to say that the Christmas market in St Enoch Square will be open from 21st November until 23rd December.”
Many of the traders from George Square have been offered space at the St Enoch Market location”.
