South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE) has announced today that Scottish Ministers are seeking to appoint up to four new members to its Board to take up the role for up to four years from 1 April 2022.
SOSE went live in April 2020 as the economic and community development agency for Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders.
Now with a workforce of over 100 and growing, SOSE works with the people, businesses, and communities across the South of Scotland to help establish the South of Scotland as the centre of opportunity, innovation, and growth.
SOSE is urging anyone who would like to make a real difference in the South to consider applying and be part of something special.
Professor Russel Griggs OBE, SOSE Chair, said: “Joining the SOSE Board is a really exciting opportunity to be part of a journey which is perhaps different from what traditional enterprise agencies have done – both in terms of the breadth and depth of what we do for everyone in the South of Scotland.
“As a Board member you will be involved in making bold decisions and play a vital role in the governance and strategic direction of SOSE – all to help inspire the region to unlock the great potential of its people and resources.
“The new members appointed will be fully supported, given access to training, and will work alongside the existing Board members to help SOSE progress with delivering its ongoing mission to be bold, ambitious, and different for the people of the South.
“I am very keen that we have the most capable and diverse pool of candidates to consider – individuals from all walks of life who can add real value to SOSE.”
