An unusual event will be taking place in the Ryan Centre Green Room on the afternoon of Sunday the 12th of October.
“Love Letters Straight From Your Heart” is a two person performance which is somewhere between a wedding reception and a radio dedication show.
Members of the audience are invited to dedicate songs to love ones in advance of the event and those selections will be woven into the show.
This makes each performance unique to that audience on that day, with the actors serving you a free glass of Cava to toast loved ones past and present.
It is an intimate event with audiences no larger than 35 to 40 people. Everyone sits at two long tables and participates in a show which shifts between theatre and a real social event, dedications are spoken, toasts are made, speeches are given, songs are sung and dances danced, either on your behalf or with you. The performers are seated at opposite ends of the tables, with modern equivalents of radiograms and stereos facing each other, at a distance. They play back-to-back across the space between them, trading dedications and songs of love and loss selected by the audience. A story unfolds through the lyrics of the tracks they play, from falling in love to falling apart, from first meeting to final
Love Letters Straight From Your Heart is conceived by theatre companyUninvited Guests, it has been their most successful show to date and has been touring consistently since 2008 playing to sell out audiences at London’s Southbank Centre.

Performances in elderly care home settings have been the most successful. It is a chance to take a walk down memory lane, celebrate the people and songs that you love, and say the things you always wish you had, but never got the chance, with a free glass of cava!
“I loved it, I loved it, I was seduced, I fell in love again, I drank cava and said I wouldn’t. I want to say thank you for that wonderful performance. I think this show is the one to build bridges and mend hearts. Thank you.” Audience member
