Luna has been out on the Doonhamer 10k course again doing a recce. Here she is wondering what way to go on the Kirkpatrick MacMillan Bridge…..she definitely wants to get her hands on one of the new Doonhamer 10k medals for 2022. She doesn’t need to worry though as there will be plenty of marshals on the day to show her the way and cheer her on.
Taking place at Dock Park in Dumfries at 10.30am on Sunday 28th August 2022, Luna will have to get her entry in before that by clicking HERE. She will then find all the details about the race and how to enter.
The race traces the pathways alongside the river and cross the river several times using the Buccleuch Street, Suspension and Kirkpatrick MacMillan bridges. The route itself was streamlined in 2019 to make it a very likely Personal Best course!
This is an officially measured and certified course. Entry costs just £15 for affiliated members and £17 for Non-affiliated runners which includes;• Chip timing• On course water stop• Unique medal and goody bag for every finisher• First aid• Kilometre markers throughout a well marshalled route• Limited car parking and toilet facilities
