Do You Have What It Takes To Make A Short Film?

Little Pictures is a micro budget short film commissioning scheme that nurtures new talent to make their first funded short film. This year is doubly exciting as we have two strands of commissions, one for filmmakers and one for producers.

Aiesha Marr told DGWGO Entertainment News “I work up in Glasgow at GMAC Film, and we are currently doing some outreach work all over Scotland for our program called Little Pictures. This program will last 1 year and we are looking for anyone over the age of 16 who would like to create their own short film. Last year we had a 70 year old women who had never done anything film related, she is now working with the BBC on a short film!
Here at GMAC Film, we are passionate about inclusivity within the film sector and therefore actively encourage applications from under-represented filmmakers. This year we will be commissioning up to 12 filmmakers from across Scotland and are open to applicants of all ages from 16 years and over.
This free programme encourages new and emerging filmmakers to take creative risks, develop their voice and kickstart their filmmaking journey. We offer training, mentoring and support from GMAC Film and other industry professionals during the development and production stages of your films, as well as £2,000 production funding.”
