Assault – Annan
Police in Annan are investigating what appears to be a totally unprovoked attack on a 14 year old schoolgirl as she made her way home from school at around 1550 hours on Friday 14 November 2014. As the girl was walking alone on the footpath between Prestonfield Road to Hospital Road, past the Springbells Industrial Estate, she was approached by the following described male who took hold of her and punched her a number of times to the face. The girl managed to get away from her attacker and made her way home where she reported the matter to her mother.
The male who police are looking for is described as being about 5’9” tall, medium build, was wearing a dark coloured hooded top or jacket with the hood up and dark blue jogging bottoms with stripes on the legs. He also smelled of cigarette smoke.
As a result of this attack the girl suffered cuts and bruising to her face however did not require any medical attention.
