Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are undertaking road maintenance on the A76 at near the former Gateside Brock’s Factory between Kirkconnel and Sanquhar. The works will take place from Monday 5th September until Saturday 10th September 2022, under a convoy system.
The work, with a value of £318,497, will benefit around 4,000vehicles by improving the condition of the road surface and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in future.
A daytime convoy system will be in place from 7am to 6pm from Monday 5th September to Friday 9th September (inclusive) 2022. An additional overnight convoy will also be in operation from 6pm on Friday 9th September until 6am on Saturday 10th September 2022.
Overnight temporary traffic lights will be in place to allow deeper sections of treatment to cool out with the daytime convoy working.
Our operatives follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the current Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
