Sign off your August in style with a visit to one of the best Stewartry Traditions. This Saturday, 27th of August, sees the return of the Great Corsock Show. Built around the core produce and craft categories, this year’s show also includes a scarecrow competition, a Tombola, a raffle and a chance to enjoy some of the legendary home baking.
Doors open at 1pm on Saturday, with a chance to view the judged categories and a whole range of activities including the produce auction, raffle and awards ceremony.
The produce and categories are open to all, the full list with information is here:
https://corsockhall.wixsite.com/home/post/the-great-corsock-show-2022. Exhibitors are invited to drop off their entries at the hall either on Friday 26th between 7pm and 8.30pm or on the morning of the show, between 9.30am and 10.45am.
Organisers are looking for donations for the raffle / tombola and would be very grateful for baking donations to the refreshments area.
The Show is being organised, by a committee of local residents. McNabb Laurie, a member of this year’s committee, said:
“We are so grateful for everyone’s support in re-starting the show after the pandemic-induced break. The show is a chance for us to welcome people local and further afield to the village, whether just to visit or perhaps even to submit items for the produce and craft categories. There is also a BBQ! All welcome and all washed down with some exceptional home-baking.
Everyone has been helping out and preparations are in hand. Categories this year vary from veg and flowers, through to home-made Scarecrows and this year’s judges challenge: A decorated cake! We also are seeking any donations for the tombola and bottle stall. Anything alcoholic always seems to be well received.”
If you can help the show, either with a donation or helping on the day itself, please do get in touch with [email protected]. Also, keep an eye on the @CorsockHall facebook page for updates.
