APPEAL FOR WITNESSES
Police Scotland want to trace the following described man after he was found in a house in Henry Street in Dumfries at around 2050 hours on Wednesday 19 November 2014. The man was found wandering through the house by the householder and when challenged said that he appeared to be in the wrong house.
The man is described as being white, in his mid 20s, skinny build, very short dark hair and was wearing glasses. He spoke with what could be described as either broken English or a speech impediment. He was wearing a black jacket and was carrying a rucksack.
At this stage it is unclear whether or not this was a genuine mistake and police would like to hear from anyone who may have had a similar experience, or indeed the man himself in order help clear the matter up.
Police again remind householders to consider carefully the security of their home, whether occupied or not.
