A super-success every year, there’s plenty for families to sink their teeth into whilst exploring our magical woodlands, Gardens and Castle ruins adorned with pumpkins and ghoulish decorations.
With supersized trails and spooky events to take part in, it’s no wonder so many families have been thrilled with their visit. “Great fun today pumpkin hunting out at the Gardens” says Mrs McManus. “Such a wonderful afternoon doing the Pumpkin Trail in such a beautiful place” agreed Ms Hickey.
New in 2022 is the Halloween I-Spy Trail and Pumpkin Carving Contest. The I-Spy Trail is the most accessible trail aimed at those under 7 or those young at heart. Can you help Wynda the Witch find her friends who are lost in the Walled Garden? For those who are crafty, enter your pre-carved pumpkin into the competition to win a massive hamper full of sweets worth £50.
The Pumpkin Trail is back with plenty of puzzling riddles to solve and pumpkins to track down. For those who really want to wear their adventurers out, the Digital Witch and Wizard Trail is for children over 7. Pack your cloaks and your magic wands ready to complete a series of fiendish challenges using your smartphone.
At the end of all quests, delicious sweets await as well as a wickedly wonderful selfie spot in front of the Castle to show off Halloween outfits and to capture the fun.
The fun doesn’t stop there! There are daily free activities to keep everyone entertained including: playing the Batty Bean Bag Toss and Pumpkin Noughts and Crosses, complete the Leaf Art project, and explore the Potions Lab & Apothecary.
This Sunday is the last chance to join in the October fun for some incredible face painting. The face painter will be bringing magical creatures, Halloween beasties and pumpkins to life!
Our feathers friends the Owls from KG Hawks Birds of Prey and Rescue will join us on Sunday 30 October for three workshops across the day.
Places are limited for all events so booking is recommended. To find out more about the event and to book tickets, please visit the website www.castlekennedygardens.com
