Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited on Monday 27 February sold 33 OTM Cattle, 482 Store Cattle and 402 Store Hoggs.
Store Cattle again surpassed expectations with pen after pen exceeding £3 per kilo. Topping the sale at £1900 for a Limousin bullock from Messrs Wilson, Kirkmabreck and 380ppk for Charolais bullocks from Shennanton Livestock.
Cast cows sold to £1560.78 for an Angus cow from Messrs Porteous, Lower Ardmannoch and 225ppk for a Simmental from Messrs Brown, Drumhumphry.
Store hoggs sold to £94 for Texels from Messrs Little, Bogue.
