Soak up Threave’s Christmas cheer
Deck the Halls this Christmas at the National Trust for Scotland’s Threave House and Garden near Castle Douglas with a fun family festive weekend on 5, 6 and 7 December.
Threave’s grabbing Christmas by the antlers and transforming itself into a festive Wonderland. Raise the roof and Christmas cheer with lively carol singing, enjoy the seasonal sounds of the choir, or simply relax with a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie. As one of the Trust’s top 10 most visited attractions, it is a favourite amongst visitors and now is your chance to see it twinkling with fairy lights.
For those wanting to find the perfect stocking filler or presents for under the tree, a craft fair will be running at the visitor centre. Find unique gifts from local crafters and reward yourself by sampling the festive-themed menu at the restaurant.
For all boys and girls in attendance, a special guest will be taking time out of his busy schedule to pay a visit. He’s known for being in a gift giving mood, let’s just ho ho hope you’ve been good this year!
The event runs on 5, 6 and 7 December from 12 noon until 4pm. Entry costs £5.
