Queen of the South Ladies were knocked out of the Scottish Cup on Sunday, going down 3-2 to Airdrie Ladies at Airdrie in a game that Queens will feel they should have won comfortably.
Queens had the better of the play overall, but their strikers had an off day, failing to convert any of the numerous chances created. Queens goals came from midfielder Anna Newbould and defender Charlotte Smith.
Queens have been going through a difficult spell at the moment, having lost their last 2 league games, firstly 6-2 to St Mirren and then 2-0 to Stenhousemuir, both league fixtures away from home. This Sunday, with the ladies now having been back in training for 2 weeks since their October break, Queens welcome Forfar Farmington to the North West Community Campus hoping to get back on track.
Queens beat Forfar recently in a cup tie, and so hopes are high for a repeat of that this Sunday. Kick off is at 2pm and admission is £2 for adults, under 16s free.
