– Thousands flocked to the event over the weekend
– Crowd interaction and amazing main ring acts
This year’s Galloway Country Fair saw thousands of visitors flock to Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate. The event showcased a wide range of main ring entertainment from falconry displays, to amazing dogs and elite equestrian displays. Around the showground, there was a special family area with many free activities and event four legged friends had the opportunity to get involved. Dogs took part in the popular gundog scurry, spaniel and retriever tests and even a pet photo booth!
Anna Fergusson, Estate Director, said “It was a really fun weekend, with huge amounts to see and do. And some of the main arena events – like the BMX Show stunts and equestrian acrobatics – were truly breath-taking.
“It was great seeing so many families – often with their dogs – enjoying a great day out at Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate. And Defender Jam certainly had the opportunity to make the most of the wet weather in the lead up!
“The fair is a chance to relax and enjoy all the best about country life, as well as tucking into superb food and looking round all the stalls including, charities, local businesses, arts and crafts.”
