Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A75 at Crocketford from Thursday 12th September until Wednesday 18th September.
This work will be carried out principally using a full weekend closure between 8pm on Friday 13th September and 6am on Monday 16th September, as well as overnight closures at this location between 8pm and 6am each night, on Thursday 12th September, Monday 16th September and Tuesday 17th September. Traffic management will be removed by 6am on Wednesday 18th September.
Signed diversions will be in operation as follows:
- Westbound traffic will leave the A75 at the roundabout to Garroch Loaning, continuing to Cargenbridge Roundabout to turn right on to the A711 to Dalbeattie. Traffic will then turn right on to the B794 and continue through Haugh of Urr to re-join the A75.
- Eastbound traffic will leave the A75 at Haugh of Urr, continue to Dalbeattie and turn left on to A711 Craignair Street before following to Cargenbridge Roundabout and turning left on to Garroch Loaning, where it will be able to re-join the A75.
- Traffic entering and leaving North Crocketford will use the A712 and B794.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the carriageway surface and reducing the need for further work in this area.
We thank road users for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
