The event saw huge crowds visit a very sunny Low Green in Ayr on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 September.
Airshow attendees watched hours of exhilarating aerial displays and got to enjoy a great range of activities and entertainment.
This was followed by a super Sunday Funday on Ayr High Street to round off the weekend.
Councillor Alec Clark, South Ayrshire Council’s Portfolio Holder for Tourism, Culture and Rural Affairs, said: “For the second year running, the airshow has proved to be an extremely popular event. It’s given South Ayrshire a real boost once again and helped to showcase Ayr and the wider South Ayrshire as a destination of choice.
“So much work goes on behind the scenes and I’d like to extend my gratitude to everyone who helped to make the weekend the roaring success it was. From the Council teams involved, to our sponsors, planning partners, emergency services, the list goes on, and their efforts are very much appreciated.”
Councillor Brian Connolly, South Ayrshire Council’s Portfolio Holder for Sport and Leisure, said: “We’ve just had a brilliant weekend here in Ayr. The aerial displays on Friday and Saturday were nothing short of spectacular, and the Sunday Funday event brought footfall into Ayr Town Centre.
“Planning for the airshow began in October last year and I’d like to thank all of the teams from across the Council and external partners who worked together to make sure we delivered a brilliant event.”.
Leader of South Ayrshire Council, Councillor Martin Dowey, said: “People came in their droves over the weekend to enjoy the airshow, and once again we were lucky to have some beautiful weather to allow people to make the most of their time in Ayr.
“I’d like to thank everyone who was involved in the organising and planning of the festival, the event wouldn’t be a success without the efforts of all the teams involved, and their hard work certainly paid off. I’d also like to thank everyone who attended the festival, I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!”
