POLICE officers from Lockerbie Roads Policing are appealing for witnesses after receiving a report of dangerous driving around 7.25 pm on Sunday 15 September 2024 on the Lockerbie to Dalton road, near to the A74(M) motorway overbridge.
A police spokesperson stated “The driver of a grey Volkswagen Golf was reported to have crossed the A74(M) overbridge, towards Dalton, at excessive speed and skidded onto the opposite side of the road to avoid a collision with a child on a pony and another vehicle ahead.
If you observed this vehicle or were travelling on the Dalton to Lockerbie road at this time and have dash cam footage that may assist officers with their enquiries, please contact 101, quoting incident number 2941 of 15/09/2024.”
