Motorcyclist Who Died In Fatal A702 Crash Named

A motorcyclist who died following a crash on the A702 in South Lanarkshire has been named as Allan Robertson.

The incident happened on the A702 near Elvanfoot around 12.20pm on Sunday, 22 September, 2024, and involved an orange Triumph motorcycle.

Emergency services attended however the 58-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Constable Graeme Marshall, from the Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Robertson as they come to terms with their loss.
“Our enquiries remain ongoing, and we are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have dash-cam footage and hasn’t already spoken with police, to please get in touch.”
