Everyone is welcome to join in the celebrations at Cruck Cottage at Torthorwald near Dumfries for their festive weekend on 7th and 8th December, 11am-3pm.
A spokesperson said “On Saturday 7 December, we will be holding our family friendly day, with the smells of Christmas, beeswax candle making, storytelling and traditional toys, along with mince pies and our special mock mulled wine.
On Sunday 8 December, you can still take in the atmosphere of the cottage, whilst looking for some Christmas gifts from a few of our local artisan traders.
Our knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to tell you more about this beautiful 18th century thatched treasure.
On both days the cottage is open 11am-3pm, admission is free.”
