Care Inspectorate Delivers Positive Feedback On Care Homes

POSITIVE feedback has been delivered to two care homes in the Stewartry after making necessary improvements set out by the Care Inspectorate.

Improvement Notices were issued to the owners of Merse House in Kirkcudbright and Carlingwark House in Castle Douglas last year, setting out what was required.

Dumfries and Galloway Health and Social Care Partnership worked closely with the owner and managers of both care homes to ensure the wellbeing of residents, and that significant action was undertaken to meet the requirements.

Officers from the Care Inspectorate carried out follow-up inspections at the start of this year.

As a result, both care homes have now received positive feedback – with the Care Inspectorate confirming that all improvement notice requirements have been met.

Dumfries and Galloway Health and Social Care Partnership will continue to work closely with both care homes to ensure that these improvements are sustained.
