James Haugh Castle Douglas Ltd is proud to have been awarded the Vauxhall Customer Excellence Award for the fourth year in a row. The award recognises and rewards top performing retailers for the quality of service they give to their customers using only customer satisfaction as the judging criteria. James Haugh Castle Douglas is one of only a few retailer’s to have won the award for four consecutive years.
Vauxhall’s Peter Hope told us “Vauxhall always aims to treat its customers as you would a family member and James Haugh of Castle Douglas epitomises this. To have been awarded the Vauxhall Customer Excellence Award for the fourth time in a row confirms James Haugh and his team’s standards of Customer Service and Satisfaction are among the highest in Great Britain. This award is only given to the best of the best and this is certainly true of James and his team at James Haugh Castle Douglas.”
Jim Haugh, Managing Director said “I am absolutely delighted to receive this prestigious award, especially four years in a row, and also to have been placed 6th overall out of more than 400 Vauxhall retailers”. The independent family-run business also got the top spot for overall retailer in Scotland along with 1st overall authorised repairer. Jim attributes these accomplishments completely to the tremendous effort put in by his hard-working team and his extremely loyal customer base. Jim said; “I know people will think it’s a cliché to say this, but customer service and satisfaction really is our aim on a daily basis. It is extremely rewarding to know that a customer has gone away very happy with their experience with us – it’s by far the best part of the job. Happy customers are repeat customers who we know pass on their satisfaction to their family and friends and what greater endorsement of our customer service can there be.”
James Haugh Castle Douglas will be celebrating again in May when the business reaches its anniversary of 125 years of trading in Castle Douglas. Pictured are the four generations of James Haugh who’s hard work and dedication over the years have made this family business such a success. Jim added; “As of July 2013 we are now a completely independent garage and we are looking forward to the exciting developments currently in the pipeline while continuing to welcome customers old and new”.
