A spokesperson said that When the dogs had become stuck on a ledge on the cliffs at Dunskey castle just outside the Wigtownshire harbour town of Portpatrick , The man (who has not been named) had attempted to rescue them but also become stuck and could not manage scale back up the cliff face
The Belfast Coastguard was alerted . The well trained local cliff rescue teams from the Coastgaurd stations at Portpatrick, Stranraer and Ballantrae Used ropes and Equipment to reach the Man and his 2 dogs to aid them back to the top of the cliffs . The Portpatrick RNLI Lifeboat was on standby during the whole dramatic rescue.
The man and his Dogs are now safe and well !
