Cath Nesbitt , a lady who works in the Crichton buildings Dumfries made a bizarre discovery today while walking into work at the main entrance to Crichton… A chimp in the tree by the main gate.
Cath Told DGWGO “I work at Crichton and none of my colleagues have noticed it before… No one knows where it came from or how it got there?”
In shock and as you can propably guess we do get some weird and wonderful stuff sent into us here at DGWGO my Response to Cath was ” Cath are you being serious ? is this a toy that has been placed there or are you brilliant at Photoshop , My Girlfriend works in the Crichton , and is now going on a chimp hunt tomorrow !”
To which Cath Replied ” I promise, hand on heart the photo is absolutely genuine. Tell her it is in the tree you can see on the right of this photo… Right beside the main gate. It is up in a large hole and doesn’t seem to be a soft toy as it is very detailed, possibly some kind of acrylic ornament, but it is so high up it would need a serious ladder to get it up there! I work at Crichton and live very nearby and have never seen anyone doing anything in the area. “
“None of my colleagues have noticed it (though one was told by a friend she had seen it in the tree around February this year!) Fabulous mystery isn’t it? I would look forward to seeing what interest or information you get by sharing it on your page but obviously you’ll have to get your girlfriend to confirm its presence first! ”
Well LC is heading for a look tomorrow , have any of you spotted it ? please do let us know if you have or if you know what the story behind this wee chimp is !
