On 26th August 2000 Derek Mitchell opened Threave Home Hardware on King Street Castle Douglas. The Family business has been open for 15 years and wants to celebrate with all its customers.
The shop has evolved over that time and stocks a vast range of home-ware, garden, DIY and gifts to name a just a few of the items on the shelves in this Aladdin’s cave . If you are a regular shopper you will notice new items that are for sale and these choices continually change.( Pictures below show just a few of the items and ranges on sale)
Over the years the staff has also evolved but there is one member that has been there from the beginning Peter Elliott. Threave Home Hardware would like to thank all their staff present and previous for their continual hard work and support towards their customers who regularly comment on how helpful the staff are. Derek Mitchell has taken a step back to let his daughter Michelle Davolls carry it forward.
Threave Home Hardware prides itself on the personal touch. Having years of experience the staff have a vast knowledge of the products that they sell. They are happy to give customers tips, demonstrations and advice, answer any questions that are asked and if they don’t know the answer they are only happy to find out.
We are currently holding a special offer on all our BBQ’s and Garden furniture.
Now the Autumn is here and Winter is on its way , we stock a full range of Bird feeders, Bird Tables, and bird seed,nuts,fat-balls and everything you need to keep your feathered garden visitors happy at great value prices.
At the back of the shop there is a loading bay and the friendly staff are more than happy to lend a hand and carry your goods to your car or you could opt for the free delivery service in the Castle Douglas area and they also offer a free delivery to a 25 mile radius of the shop if you spend over £150. If you spend less there is sometimes a small charge for the delivery service please ask staff members for details. No delivery is too big or too small.
Threave Home Hardware likes to try new items. The price range is vast. They are very competitive in their prices, and they sell great quality cheaper items alongside designer ranges like Joseph Joseph. The prices for Joseph Joseph are on par or cheaper than found on the internet.
The shop stock’s a huge range of Wrendale (Pictured above) items and this has become an exclusive range to Threave home Hardware in the region. If you have new suggestions about items you’d like to see in the shop please leave a comment with the staff.
Threave Home Hardware are reintroducing a personal service for wedding lists. The shop and staff are fully equipped to cater for a newly married couple who want to start out and buy everything or for those looking for a change. Ask in-store for full details .
If there are brands in the shop for example ‘Denby’ that don’t sell the range of products you like then they will try to get it for you. That’s where the personal touch counts.
To help us celebrate our anniversary we are introducing a loyalty scheme starting on 1st August 2015 which will last up until 31st December 2015. All you have to do is spend £10 and over to receive a stamp. Once you have 7 stamps you will be gifted a £15 voucher to spend in our shop. Shopping locally is important to us and hopefully to you too so this is our way of making it a rewarding experience.
