Hit and run RTC – Annan
Police officers in Annan are investigating a hit and run road traffic collision which happened at around 1445 hours on Tuesday 20 October 2015 in Stapleton Road in the town.
At that time a 19 year old female who was crossing the road near to the Caspian take-away when she was struck by a black coloured VW Golf. The pedestrian received bruising to her leg and head as a result and was treated at Cumberland Infirmary for her injuries. The driver of the car, who is only described as being ‘young’, stopped to enquire if the pedestrian was ‘OK’ before driving off.
Constable Paula Armstrong at Annan said “we are appealing for witnesses to this collision to come forward and indeed the driver of the car himself to come forward in order to clear this matter up. In particular we ask that the lady who assisted the injured female pedestrian after the collision call us at Annan on 101.
